Having trouble connecting Stripe or receiving payouts? Here are the most common issues and how to resolve them.
Clicking the connect button redirects me to the homepage or nothing happens This is usually a browser issue. Try the following:
- Make sure you're using an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
- Disable any browser extensions that might be blocking redirects, such as ad blockers or privacy tools
- Try opening the page in a private or incognito window
- Clear your browser cache and try again
If the issue persists, contact us at info@subvert.fm with the browser and device you're using.
Stripe is showing me an existing account from another platform If you've previously connected Stripe to another platform (such as Bandcamp), you may see that account when going through the Stripe onboarding flow. This is because Stripe uses the same underlying account infrastructure across platforms.
You have two options: use your existing Stripe account (your earnings from Subvert will go to the same bank account), or create a new Stripe account using a different email address. If you're not sure which to choose, using your existing account is usually the simplest path. Your Subvert earnings will be kept separate in your Subvert dashboard regardless.
If you've connected the wrong Stripe account or want to start fresh, email us at info@subvert.fm and we'll reset your Stripe connection so you can go through the setup again.
My bank isn't connecting to Stripe Some banks - particularly smaller regional banks and credit unions - may not be directly supported by Stripe's instant bank verification. If your bank isn't connecting automatically, try the manual bank account entry option during Stripe onboarding (you'll need your routing and account numbers).
If you're still having trouble, contact your bank to confirm they support ACH transfers, then reach out to us at info@subvert.fm and we'll help you troubleshoot.
My passport country isn't accepted by Stripe Stripe's identity verification requirements vary by country. In some cases, the country where your bank account is held is supported by Stripe, but the passport or ID you're using for verification isn't accepted - typically due to international compliance requirements.
This is a Stripe-level restriction that we don't have direct control over. If you're running into this, email us at info@subvert.fm with your situation and we'll do our best to help you find a path forward.
My payout isn't arriving Payouts typically take 2-5 business days to arrive after you initiate them. If it's been longer than that, check the following:
- Confirm your payout was initiated in your Sales & Payouts dashboard
- Double-check that your bank account details in Stripe are correct
- Contact your bank to confirm they're not holding the transfer
If everything looks correct and the payout still hasn't arrived after 7 business days, email us at info@subvert.fm with your transaction details.
