Subvert gives you a lot of flexibility in how you price your music. All pricing is set at the album level and applies to all tracks within that release, though you can also set per-track prices.
Standard price Set a fixed price for your release. The minimum is $1.00. There is no maximum.
Free downloads You can offer your release for free.
Pay More Pricing You can enable Pay More Pricing to let listeners pay above your listed price if they choose to. When enabled, your listed price acts as a minimum - listeners can enter any amount above it at checkout. This is a good way to let supporters show extra appreciation without changing your base price.
Member pricing You can set a separate, discounted price specifically for Subvert co-op members. When a signed-in member adds your release to their cart, they'll automatically see and pay the member price. Setting a member price is optional but encouraged - it's one of the tangible benefits of co-op membership for listeners.
Free downloads for members You can also offer your release as a free download for co-op members only, while keeping a standard price for non-members. This is separate from the member price field and is toggled on or off independently.
All of these options can be combined. For example, you could set a $9 standard price, a $7 member price, and enable Pay More Pricing - so members get a discount and anyone can pay more if they want to.
