When you purchase music on Subvert, you'll see an option to make a voluntary contribution to the Subvert Co-op - separate from the price of the music.
What it is The Optional Contribution is a voluntary amount you can add to your order to help support the co-op's operations. It is completely separate from the purchase price - 100% of what you pay for a release goes directly to the artist.
How much You can choose from three preset amounts - 10%, 15%, or 20% of your cart total - or enter a custom amount. The 15% option is pre-selected by default. You can also choose no contribution.
Where it goes Every cent of the Optional Contribution goes to the Subvert Co-op to fund our operations. This is part of how we sustain the platform without taking a cut of artist sales.
Non-refundable Optional Contributions are non-refundable, even if the associated purchase is refunded. They also are not tax deductible.
