If your music is registered with a performing rights organization (PRO) or administered by a publisher, you can declare this information during upload. This is important for accurate rights reporting.
PRO / collection society Under Album Details, find the toggle for Works on this album are registered with a collection society (PRO/CMO). Toggle it on and select your PRO from the dropdown, or enter it manually if it's not listed.
Publisher If your works are administered by a publisher, find the toggle for Works on the album are administered by a publisher. Toggle it on and enter your publisher's name. If there are multiple publishers, separate them with a slash.
Why this matters Subvert withholds a 10% Rights Reserve from each sale to cover mechanical royalty obligations. How that reserve is handled depends on your declaration:
- If no publisher is declared, the Rights Reserve is released back to you around the time of sale
- If a publisher is declared, the Rights Reserve is held for remittance to your publisher or the relevant licensing organization
You can update your PRO and publisher declarations at any time through your release editor. See What is the Rights Reserve? for more detail.
